ChristyPlease extend Help to Responsible Homeowners with Conventional loans and cannot avail of the Harp Program!!!
August 5, 2013 at 4:51 pm #2059
Lorraine DavisI was able to refinance my first mortgage under Harp 2.0 – but I still have a 2nd mortgage that I cannot do anything with and there’s a balloon payment due in 2016. I need to get that refinanced into the first mortgage – but I am still almost $50k under water. I pay my mortgage on time – both of them – never been late. Please help those of us that are responsible homeowners!

SwaimWe are an old Countrywide mess bought by BofA, who sold piece of loan 3 times. Now serviced by SPS, fined $40 million for mortgage fraud in 2009. We had no say in any of that. We were Fannie under Countrywide then BofA changed it to conventional (no one asked us) now our LTV is too low to refi (hardest hit AZ) We have never been late, credit is golden, yet no one will refi us without a manual $$$$$ appraisal (scam) thousands in fees. HARP 3.0 WHAT IS THE HOLD UP?? Oh, yeah, Congress is on a 5 week vacation.

Martha BellDitto to that Swaim. Bought by BoA and then sold in early July to Nationstar. Spoke to Nationstar refinance department today…”We are too swamped with government serviced loans to offer you anything at this time. We don’t even know who your investor is.” The more I try to refinance, the more i get stonewalled. It is exasperating. HARP 3.0 can’t come fast enough. Have been waiting for nearly 18 months to see it happen. Was beginning to wonder if anyone else is prepared to press Congress to finally act. It will definitely move the economy forward.

frustratedI hope this will help people who have unusual loans as well. I have a hybrid WAMU (now Chase) purchase line of credit as my mortgage. I can fix rate the line but that rate is over 7%. I’m currently about 50k underwater. Would love to have a normal loan that I could count on that also reflects current values.

BonniTHE DATE IS A HUGE OBSTACLE…..THE HARP 3 PROGRAM NEEDS TO ELIMINATE THE JUNE 2009 CUT OFF. THE PROGRAM SHOULD BE BASED ON THE POTENTIAL MONTHLY SAVINGS AND/OR BENEFIT TO THE HOMEOWNER (I.E. ARM TO FIXED RATE), NOT A DATE THAT SEEMS TO SERVE NO PURPOSE

RickWhen it comes to responsible people we are forgotton about. Hell whats new with that, Congress is always on Vacation on our tax dollar. The Bushs dug us in deep and it its gonna take forever to dig us out. Ive tried everything and because being like most of you on here,No lates on first or second and my house not underwater but totally sunk. I cant get any help. What all of us need to do is just walk. Put the real estate market back in the toilet let a few these banks that were bailed out go broke like we all are,and then maybe we can get some help.

R JainchellHARP3 will give the US economy a tremendous boom. If HARP3 does not occur, the predictive outcome for the near future (1 to 5 years) will be more foreclosures.

me toosame deal for me, Swaim. I cannot get out of this mess the banks put me in. I’m about to walk…. and I really don’t want to, but I don’t know what else to do. I hope congress is enjoying their vacation. Maddening.

Satya Deb MisraI am a responsible homeowner and finding it difficult to pay my mortgage. I am struggling to pay the mortgage in time. Harp 3 will help me a lot in the sense that it will allow me to get proper medical treatment and support my family.mI am a retired engineer. I could not refinance because of the LTV requirement as value of the house fell.

JudyEveryone should contact their congressman. I am getting tired of doing the right thing and getting slammed by high interest rates. My house is upside down, but I have been current on my mortgage for 14 years. Why do the honest people have to bear the brux of others, or the disceitful lending companies that caused all this.
CALL YOUR CONGRESS OR SENATE TO MOVE ON THIS!!September 8, 2013 at 1:13 pm #2073
Ed WelshI have the very same story, was with Countrywide and after4 the FALL was taken by B of A, only difference from your story is B of A still has us. Haven’t been late one payment in our credit history and yet with our LTV we can’t get refinance to a lower rate. Where is “equal protection” under how all of this has been handled?
September 10, 2013 at 2:17 pm #2074
KatAmen to that. Seems responibility doesn’t pay off – not yet at least. Still WAITING.

Kelli McPolandWhen is the Harp 3 coming out? My husband and I are with Bayview Mortgage and everytime we call to get help or to see if we qualify for Harp 2 they tell us no. When is Harp 3 coming out so we can get some help?

JackThis legislation is being held up due to the Congress’ current state of dysfunction which is due to a handful of T-Party (and the ‘T’ stands for Taliban – Texas and Tennessee style) Christian extremists who mascarade as patriots. Tell me, did Ted Cruz or Rand Paul serve one day in defense of this nation. This is pitiful.
Homeowners need to remember who tried to help them and vote those who did not into oblivion.
Republicans and Democrats be damned. I vote my wallet.
